Apr 2013 The ETN Alliance is honoured with new leading adhesions
EurTradeNet keeps growing-up in a continuum, gathering the most comprehensive know-how on eCustoms by grouping the IT providers delivering the different trade geographies and international transportation modes. The more recent ETN association is DAKOSY AG: their unique expertise at the Hamburg harbour, and their qualified experience serving to the whole supply chain, certainly augment the knowledge background of EurTradeNet.
DAKOSY AG was founded in 1982 as the Port Community System (PCS) for the port of Hamburg in Germany, with the aim to constantly improve freight forwarding and customs clearance. Awarded with ISO 9001 in 1994, the company evolved along time, from right handling the PCS of Hamburg towards delivering forward-looking solutions to the whole transportation chain.
With a highly qualified professional asset of more than 130 employees, nowadays over 2,000 companies across Europe use DAKOSY’s solutions and data centres for their electronic business transactions. This extended customer base includes freight forwarders and shipping companies, liner agents and carriers, eminent trade industries and the various Authorities they link to (including Customs and Police). Furthermore, early in 2007 CargoSoft GmbH became part of DAKOSY, complementing its product suite with ad-hoc software solutions for the forwarding industry (sea but also air freight).
DAKOSY was initially focused on handling eCommunications at the Hamburg harbour, but reached wider market positions and a Regional scope by adding qualified service provision in the whole Germany, as well as in the neighbour German-speaking countries; DAKOSY is strongly positioned in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
As all the ETN partners and members, DAKOSY believes in fair collaborations to professionally influence global authorities. Together with six leading Port Communities in Europe, by mid-2011 DAKOSY jointly created the European Interest Group EPCSA. With its adhesion to EurTradeNet right in April 2013, their influence capacity augmented, and ETN is highly honoured to count on them to defend common eCustoms positions with the relevant EU bodies.
The ETN Alliance is growing and in constant search for complementary expertise to add to its unique professional network. Please see our current ETN knowledge map.
