This year 2016 was very special for European Customs: in May the new substantive provisions of the Union Customs Code entered into force, thus new IT systems are to be implemented and deployed EU-wide according to a multi-annual plan. The three EurTradeNet Members based in Belgium (Descartes, INTRIS and STREAM Software) jointly hosted the ETN Annual 2016 under the core title “It’s our IT&C time”....

EurTradeNet-ETN strongly believes that cooperation leads to excellence and keeps determined to augment its knowledge assemblage and influence capacity for the best benefit of the eCustoms sector. ETN is honoured with the adhesion of the leading provider INTRIS, and proudly welcomes the affiliation of the Belgian group CRSNP.

As every year, EurTradeNet-ETN organises its Annual Meeting in an interesting location and with the kind effort of a local member: the Turkish ETN Member Ulukom hosted the ETN Annual 2015 in the great city of Istanbul, welcoming the ETN Members and Affiliates but also relevant external guests.

ETN membership keep evolving in a continuum; devoted local and regional providers and big multinationals dealing with a global scope, all fit under the collaborative umbrella of our International Non-Profit Professional Association. EurTradeNet-ETN is proud to announce the adhesion of a leading IT&C multinational: WiseTech Global.

As International Non-Profit Professional Association, year 2014 consolidated the ETN membership with more corporate adhesions, and definitively opened its new doors for complementary entities to also collaborate. At the beginning of the new fiscal year, a differential IT&C player joined EurTradeNet: Vivansa.

After the success of the first Annual meeting as International Non-Profit Professional Association, EurTradeNet is proud to also add new members to its customs-related knowledge network: Elsped+, specialised software house delivering in Serbia and Montenegro; and Grupo TARIC, expert eCustoms provider based in Spain.

The very first Annual Meeting of EurTradeNet-ETN under its new legal form -International Non-Profit Professional Association- was hosted in Ireland, with the kind support of the founding ETNer Customs Matters. All ETN members were top management represented, welcoming new relevant CRSPs, actively listening to internal and external experts, and jointly deciding on core direction and workforces of the renewed EurTradeNet.

Early in 2014 EurTradeNet changed to the most appropriate legal form to globally represent the CRSP community Europe-wide: International Non-Profit Professional Association. ETN membership adhered to the NewAssoc and EurTradeNet further complemented its knowledge network with the affiliation of the Association of Freight Software Suppliers in the UK.

EurTradeNet and AKANEA Developpement welcomed this year a very special ETN Annual: the unique environment for meeting and leisure provided by the Paul Bocuse Group in Lyon was perfect to celebrate our 10th Anniversary… while eCustoms realities and challenges are suggesting ETN to re-think the most adequate professional structure to stably represent the CRSPs.
